ELF Blush in Gotta Glow

I've been a keen fan of ELF since I discovered them a short while before my birthday and have acquired quite a few items that I've grown to love and adore. Back in June, I had placed an order with them that you can read here where I ordered a blush from their studio range in Gotta Glow.

The one thing that annoys about ELF is that they don't particularly give a review for each item, instead they generalise each item within a certain range i.e blushes with a brief description. The description for their studio range of blushes is "The soft sheer texture blends into the skin for a silky finish. Designed to be worn alone or layered for more depth. Highlight your complexion with a subtle healthy glow!"

ELF Blush in Gotta Glow is an ivory, gold/yellowish toned powder that gives a subtle highlight and glow to the cheeks which may be considered as a cheap dupe for the infamous NARS Albatross. It's a very chalk based product which you can see but the chalkiness disappears once blended onto your skin. On some skintones, this will honestly give a really nice highlight with just the right amount of glow depending on how you apply it of course. This would be good for applying on top of matte based blushes to give them a shimmery effect. Whilst on others, mine included, will make your face look like Edward Cullen stepping out into sunlight. Remember how he glittered away? This product will do just very that on some faces. On the only time that I've worn this out in public, I tried to disguise it with foundation and bronzer but even then it still glittered away plain as day

You can purchase this from their Studio Range of Blushes here for as little as £3.75.

Have you tried this before?

  1. I've just got this, hoping it was a dupe for Nars, but I've read so many mixed reviews. I guess I'll just have to see how it plays out for me.

  3. I've been so unsure about this, the colour really doesn't look like it would suit me, some people say its amazing others aren't so impressed! Xx
