October Empties

It's that time of the month where everybody posts their monthly empties and favourites posts which I adore reading! I've noticed that many people have used up quite a few products this October including myself as I've managed to use up a whooping 20 products!

Words cannot describe as to how much I disliked the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Spot Stress Control 3-in-1 Daily Cleansing Lotion. It made my eyes water and it did nothing to help clear spots - I even dedicated a whole post to it about why I strongly dislike it and why I will never repurchase it. The Clean & Clear Simply Gentle Toner has such a clean and refreshing smell to it and I enjoyed using it after the cleanser however I don't think it did too much for my skin apart from making it feel soft. I may consider repurchasing this if I ever ran out of toners. My holy grail face wash which just so happens to be the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Gentle Exfoliating Wash ran out this month. I loved the little blue beads in it which disappeared when scrubbed into the skin, it made my face feel so soft and it definitely did wonders for it. I will most definitely repurchase this again and again! Just like with most people, I'm not too fussed with toothpastes and the Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Whitening Toothpolish was a toothpaste that didn't really wow me. It did nothing to whiten my teeth but it did have a really refreshing minty taste to it. I won't be repurchasing this. I like to treat my skin every so often to a face mask, so I managed to finally use the Mudd Original Mask which after washing off, made my skin look a lot brighter and made it feel so much softer. I may repurchase this in the near future. I received a two week sample of Garnier Ultra Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Cream but only managed to use up 5 of the satchets as it broke my skin out. It did make my invisible wrinkes disappear but my skin didn't agree with it, I doubt I would repurchase this. I also received a sample of the Oral B 3D White Brilliance Toothpaste which made my teeth appear whiter after the first use! I was very shocked by this and for that, I would definitely purchase this in full size.

Remember ages ago, I blogged about receiving the Percy & Reed Dry Shampoo from WIMH? Well I've finally used it up! I didn't use it all up whilst I was in America so it's been living over at my boyfriends for the past few months. I would never consider purchasing this in full size, especially when I adore the Superdrug own brand dry shampoos too much. Whilst in America, my grandma treated me to the Bed Head by Tigi Self Absorbed Shampoo which smelt exactly like orange and mango squash. I have to admit, it did make my hair feel full of life again and for that reason, I would repurchase it but I'm not entirely sure that you can get it over in England. I like to get whatever bubble making potion is on offer so I got the Radox Moisture Soak and a few others a while back. I really enjoyed using this up as it made an okay-ish amount of bubbles but it made the bath smell devine! It even made my skin feel soft and smell good as well. I would repurchase this if it was ever on offer. Dry Shampoo is something I use quite a lot and I found that the Superdrug Dry Shampoo in Away With the Fairies did the trick. I can't really explain the scent of this but it just smells fresh with floral kick. I will repurchase this in the future for when I run out of dry shampoos. I finally managed to finish the Whoosh Bath/Shower Jelly by Lush which took forever to use up (but in a very good way!) This bad boy has a citrus scent to it which lathers up beautifully and the scent lingers on your skin for quite a while afterwards as well. I'm already using up my back up of this but I would most definitely repurchase this time and time again. I have quite a few hair treatments on the go and I finally managed to finish up the Superdrug Coconut & Sweet Almond Intensive Conditioner. This smells so strongly of coconuts and it definitely made my hair feel so full of life whilst also repairing the damage that I've doen to it over the years. Once my stash of these have run out, I would definitely repurchase this time and time again!

Whilst clearing out my drawer of body lotions, I came across this pot of Vaseline Original which I haven't used since June/July time. I used it purely for when I got my first two tattoos done and I think it's about time I chucked it out as it's too contiminated to be used on my lips. When I get my next tattoo/s, I will repurchase this as it was the perfect size to be chucked in my bag. I like using face wipes for a whole load of things and not just for my face so the Lacura 3 in 1 Facial Cleansing Wipes and Pure Deep Cleanse Wipes are wipes that I will repurchase time and time again as they do the trick and are cheap as chips. I think it's safe to say that I've redone my eyelashes a lot this month as I've used up three Salon System Individual Lashes Ultra. I do my own eyelash extensions and these are the perfect ones to use as they look so natural and are quick and easy to apply. I will without a doubt repurchase these again and again! When applying my eyelash extensions, I like to use Wild and Crazy Eyelash Adhesive in Black as it's the only glue that I've tried which makes my lashes stick for a long time.

I would love to see your October Empties post so make sure that you leave your link below so I can have a nosy at it!

  1. I'm impressed that you do your own eyelash extensions, I can't even get strip lashes on by myself! The Tigi shampoo sounds really nice. I have an empties post too www.quitefranklyshesaid.com xx
